Moelven Industrier ASA is a Scandinavian industrial group owned by Glommen Skog BA (25.1 per cent), Eidsiva Vekst AS (23.8 per cent), Agri MI AS (15.8 per cent), Viken Skog BA (11.9 per cent), Mjøsen Skog BA (11.7 per cent), AT Skog BA (7.3 per cent) and Havass Skog BA (4.0 per cent). The remaining 0.4 per cent is owned by private shareholders. The Moelven Group supplies wood-based building products and related services to the construction industry. The business focuses primarily on the Scandinavian market and consists of 52 units in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. A significant proportion of Moelven's plants are concentrated in the forest-rich regions of Western Central Sweden and Southeast Norway. There is a short distance from raw material to manufacturing facility and on to the large Scandinavian markets, which represent around 80 per cent of sales income. Moelvens products and services are sold to customers in three main segments: the processing industry, retail and construction activities. Moelven is therefore organized according to these customer groups, and not according to processes. Moelvens three divisions are: # Moelven Timber, which produces industrial timber in the shape of dimensional timber and fabricated industrial components, as well as sawn timber. # Moelven Wood, which develops and produces a large range of wood-based building and interior products with a high level of processing. # Moelven Building Systems, which consists of Laminated timber, Modular buildings, Interior solutions and Electrical services. Out of the group's products and services, 85 percent is used for new buildings and renovation of homes and commercial properties. A growing business area is the sale of raw material for bio-fuel and for the production of pulp, paper and chipboard. The group also supplies wood products to the furniture, interior and packaging sectors.
